residuum; residuary estate : That which remains after debts and expenses of administration, legacies and devisees have been satisfied. The portion of person’s estate which has not otherwise been particularly devised or bequeathed. It consists of all that has not been legally disposed of by will, other than by residuary clause. Gross estate less all charges, debts, costs, and all other legacies.
